Founded in 2000, Shining Light Baptist Academy serves students in K-3 through grade 12, providing a quality education at a reasonable price. Using traditional approach to education, SLBA's students have excelled in a structured, academically challenging environment. Scoring 11/2 to 3 years ahead of their public school peers, our students are taught through the widely-used A-Beka curriculum. This program of study is academically and biblically sound.
The Academy desires to send out into the world young people who will be lights in this night of spiritual darkness (Matthew 5:14-16). The chief objective of our school is to prepare students to fulfill god's will for their lives and for the possibility of full-time Christian service. According to Matthew 9:37, "…the harvest truly is plenteous, nut the laborers are few;" and so our school strives to prepare students to be sent into the harvest field (John 4:35) and accomplish much to the glory of God. "To the praise of the glory of his grace…" (Ephesians 1:6).
